My husband has asthma and allergies, and my son is a severe asthmatic and environmental allergies. We had to do many things in our home. One was we purchased a new vacum cleaner. We went with a "Rainbow" it does not have a bag, it uses a canister of cold water. It can be quite expensive but we love it. No dust blows out. It is remarkable what it can vacum out of rugs (which we have none now) but furniture, mattresses, etc...I highly recommend it.,but it can be quite costly. There might be more assortment out on the market now, as this was approx 7 years ago. Hope you find one that your happy with.!

the Dyson Animal, its expensive but the best. I have 2 dogs and 2 kids with sever allergies. This is the best vaccum ever!
