Help!!! Rain came in under the door and my carpets wet!!!?

It rained really hard the other night and my gutters *need* to be cleaned, well the next morning it seems as though the flood waters came about. My carpet is completly wet and i need to know what to do as far as cleaning it before it mildews! Any suggestions?

Hi try sheets or what ever to soak up the water then use a wet/dry vacuum clener to dry up the carpet clean the gutters out a step ladder and a hose pipe will do fine sweep up the mess and install a weather guard on you door or install a drain at the door

im leaving for nyc on thursday and i need to earn some money for shopping
im 14 and dont have a job but i dont have time to get one
any suggestions for things i could do around the house (wash dogs, dishes, organize things)

im not going by myself im going with my family but i wanna buy clothes and stuff while im there

Clean Gutters (If she'll allow you to)
Scrub tile floors
Clean Bathtub & Toilet
Dust
Do dishes
Offer to do everyone's laundry
Give your mom a "much needed" shoulder massage ;)
Wash the car(s)
Clean garage

I could go on forever!! ;)
