If you hold any stock by it, please check out Consumer Reports on vacuum cleaners. They do not recommend ANY of the expensive cleaners. Instead they have 2 best buys this year:
Of the canisters, they recommend the Kenmore (Sears) Progressive 27514 for $300.
The recommended upright is the Kenmore (Sears) Progressive with Direct Drive 35922, also for $300.
I always check with them before I buy almost anything. They are nonprofit, have noted scientists put together the tests for various merchandise, and do not accept advertising as that may influence their decisions.
