I am a good country boy and I need to know which brand of upright vacuum cleaner is more of a "country-style?
And I DON'T want that "broom and dust pan" answer crap!

I want to know what the best vacuum is for cleaning carpets. Not quite a "shag" but close. I don't care about price. I just want to know what vacuum cleans the down deep dirt the best.
Save the Dyson comments. I paid $600 for mine and it does NOT clean the deep down dirt. It is JUNK....runs, lasts, but does NOT clean real well.

Sorry to hear you're not happy with your Dyson, it really is one of the better ones out there. Other top brands are Miele and the Aerus Lux. A decent vacuum is the Shark Navigator and Navigator Lift-Away. Of the vacuums under $200, I'd stick with Bissell or Hoover
